This lite version is so useless! Its a shame to take money for that!

wooo … does it really work ??? no idea … appdelete got .. deleted !
Update: It seems that the limitation to the app has to do more with restrictions on the App store (apps cannot access administrative previleages) than any fault within the app itself. This might be an inconvinence but the full version from site is free of such a limitation. All in all though, the app itself works really well on its own, and Id recommend it. This app does not allow you to actaully delete the items that it finds, but rather you have to go into the source areas and delete them yourself manually. This might be a Lite version restriction, but it might be a little too much of a hassle especially if you have to delete multiple apps and associated files. I actaully own the full version as well but thought this would be a quick purchase since its on the App Store, but this limitation is not worth the price.
This is an excellent app & I recommend it to anyone that likes to keep their Mac nice and tidy! I dont like that I have to manually delete some files but I have recently learned that its not the developers fault it is this way. Apparently, Apple store rules dictate that an app may not modify password protected files & folders.
it’s a good app that help me delete the app. can you redisign the skin? it’s not look good at Mac OS X Yosemite.
please make the same interface inside like non appstore version, very annoying pop up windows, but overall program is really good, and excellent do the job by deleting no need it files!!!
Ran the app and selected what I wanted to delete only to get a message to manually delete the items. If I wanted to manually find and delete every folder connected to an app I would have done that and not paid $3.99.
i dont recommend it to any one please dont waste your money for nothıng..they should refund me my money..doesnt work well itsnt good at all
Go trow away $4. This app does nothing but take up space on your app list…
Glad to see AppDelete finally on the Mac App Store! Seems with the Lite version you need to manually move the files to the trash, but for the price I think its pretty good. It still finds all the files so its definitely not a rip-off like someone else said. And Ive dealt with this developer in the past he is very responsive so if you need something just visit his site. This is good for me!
Not what I thought it was at all. You drag what you want to delete to this app and it tells you where every file is that is associated with the app you are deleting. Then you have to go through finder and manually delete each and every file. I was under the impression that it would delete all the files for you.
Its nice to see AppDelete available on MAS. Due to the rule of MAS, the functions of AppDelete is not fully implemented; but its still a good choice for MAS users.
It finds all the files associated with an app. If you click on their address below the folder where they are opened, it opens the folder on your desktop. Log it by dragging it to the icon, and then drag it to the trash. I have done this on my own many times, but this app finds and opens the folders for you, and highlights the item so you can trash it.
I demoed the "real" version of this app before purchasing this on the App Store. I wish I had been able to demo this actual version, then I would not have purchased it from the AppStore. The "real" version is great, I worked flawlessly to find all the files and delete them in one click. The AppStore version, as advertised, makes you manually delete the files ONE BY ONE. I wasnt clear on the ONE BY ONE aspect of it. If you only have a couple files then its no big deal but after deleting twenty, ONE BY ONE I dont find that this app has saved me any time. And if you have do to do this often, then this program is not at all suitable. Judgeing from the "real" version, this app has lot of great potential but the App Store version is seriously limited by Apples rules. I would sugest the software author get creative and figure a way to work around Apples barricades to usability and come up with a way to make the manual process of deleting a large number of files as few mouse clicks as possible. Assuming of course that the ideal approach to delete the files automatically as in the "real" version cannot be creativley included. Maybe a talk with Apple about how the rule is getting in the way of honest functionality that users want would be in order. A reasonable company that cares about its customers and developers would find a way to accomplish what is intended with the rule and at the same time help the developer give the users what they want. Fix this and Ill happliy change my rating.
As has been noted before, this version does indeed find all of the files associated with an app, BUT having to go through Finder to delete the found files is a hassle that shouldnt exist. I bought this app with the intention of making it less of a pain to remove Application Support files when deleting an app, but this version doesnt save me any time from manually finding and deleting the files. Not worth $4, barely worth $1 I say.
It quicky searches and shows you a list of all associated files for an app. You then click on each file and a Finder window pops with that file highlighted so you can manually delete it. Its as imple as that and works exactly as intended and allowed by Apple. A bargain!
Recently paid for an earlier version of appdelete that worked well in leopord but crashed lion. This lt version is difficult to understand and just confusing enough to incise me purchace pro. Wow it doesnt seem like removing apps should be so difficult! I feel jipped and dont want to give Reggie anymore money.
Terrible workflow — takes about as much time as deleting files manually.
The new version of AppDelete Lite allows the program to delete applications (as long as they dont require a password). Im glad Apple let the developer do this, it really did cause a lot of confusion in the earlier versions. personally I use both the full version of AppDelete AND the lite version. I use the Lite version when I only want to know where plists are that might be causing a misbehaving application. I know its an unexpected use for the tool, but it works great. Instead of piling through endless piles of com.blahblahblah.plist files trying to find the right ones, you can immediate see them in AppDelete. This is a great application for doing what it intends - deleting all the cruft that comes along with applications. The developer is VERY responsive and helpful so if you have any questions give him a shout.
I like the way that AppDelete lite indicates where all the files are located and gives the user the option of deleting what he or she wants. Also, AppDelete is perfect for troubleshooting misbehaving Apps. This makes it a sinch to find and delete its plists that belong to Apps that arent working the way youd expect them to. Great App!
